Use Clutter to sort low priority messages in Outlook Web App

Clutter helps you move low priority messages out of your Inbox so that you can easily scan for important messages. Clutter analyzes your emails, and based on your past behavior, determines the messages that you’re most likely to ignore. It then moves those messages to a folder called Clutter so that you can review them later.

Turn Clutter on

1. Sign in to Outlook Web App. For help, see Sign in to Outlook Web App.
   
2. At the top of the page, select Outlook (or Mail). Or, select the App launcher , and then select Outlook.
   
3. Go to Settings > Options > Mail > Automatic processing > Clutter.
   
4. Choose Separate items identified as Clutter.
   
5. Click Save to save your changes, or Discard to cancel.
   
   

Help Clutter learn your preferences faster

It might take Clutter a few days to fully adapt to your preference, as the system records your choices and uses the information to identify similar messages in the future. But you can help Clutter learn your choices faster:

• If you see a message that was sent to Clutter by mistake, right-click the message and choose Move to inbox.
  
  
• If you see a low priority email in your Inbox, right-click the message and choose Move to Clutter.
  
  

Note   Moving an email in or out of the Clutter folder, from any of your devices, is enough to give the signal to the Clutter system that an item is Clutter or not. For example, if you move an email to the Clutter folder in Outlook desktop, or the Mail app on your phone, the action gets recorded in the Clutter system on all your mail apps. You don't have to do this individually in each app.

How Clutter filters messages

Clutter helps you focus on what’s important by automatically filtering out messages you’re not likely to read. Messages from certain people will never be identified as clutter:

• You
  
• Anyone in your management chain
  
• Your direct reports
  

For mail from everyone else, you teach the system what kinds of content interest you by interacting with your mail. No extra work is required. Clutter learns which kinds of messages you frequently read and uses that to determine if a new item is likely clutter or not.
Clutter looks at various aspects of messages to understand what you don’t typically read, for example:

• The sender
  
• Whether you’ve participated in the conversation
  
• If you’re the only recipient
  
• The importance
  

As your reading habits change, the Clutter feature learns and adapts.

Turn Clutter off

You can turn Clutter off anytime in Outlook Web App.

1. Follow the steps at the beginning of this document to sign in to Outlook Web App. Then, go to Settings > Options > Mail > Automatic processing > Clutter.
   
2. Select Don't separate items identified as Clutter, and then click Save.
   

Note   The Clutter folder remains in Outlook after you turn off Clutter feature. If you don’t want the folder listed under your Mailbox, move the emails from Clutter to other folders, as appropriate, and then right-click the Clutter folder and choose Delete Folder.

Saat Anda membuat pesan email dan melampirkan berkas ke pesan, kadang lampiran ditampilkan di badan pesan, namun di lain waktu dapat ditampilkan di kotak lampiran di bawah garis Subjek. Artikel ini menjelaskan mengapa hal tersebut terjadi.

Saya menyeret dan menjatuhkan berkas untuk dilampirkan ke pesan email di Outlook 2010. Namun, kadang berkas dilampirkan di badan pesan. Biasanya, lampiran akan muncul di kop? Apa yang telah terjadi?

Lampiran ditampilkan di badan pesan, karena format pesan adalah Rich Text Format (RTF). Apabila Anda menggunakan RTF, berkas yang dilampirkan akan ditampilkan di badan pesan.

Apa yang dimaksud RTF? Lampiran biasanya ditampilkan di kop, namun kali ini ditampilkan di badan teks. Apakah ini karena saya memilih RTF?

Anda dapat melihat apakah pesan dibuat dalam RTF atau tidak dengan melihat Format di tab Format Teks. Anda dapat melihat bahwa pesan Anda ditulis dalam Rich Text Format. Anda juga dapat memeriksa format apa yang digunakan dengan melihat ke bilah judul.

Dikatakan bahwa, saya tidak memilih RTF.

Outlook menggunakan HTML sebagai format asali, namun apabila Anda membalas pesan yang ditulis dalam RTF, balasan pesan akan secara otomatis ditulis dalam RTF.

Saya mengerti. Pada kasus saya, pengirim menulis pesan menggunakan RTF dan saya membalas pesan dalam format yang sama.

Sangat bermanfaat Anda tahu bahwa ada tiga tipe format saat membuat pesan di Outlook. Tergantung pada tipe format, cara pelampiran berkas berbeda-beda. Dalam Rich Text Format, lampiran ditampilkan di badan pesan. Salah satu keuntungan RTF adalah Anda dapat mengubah ukuran dan warna fon. Microsoft Outlook mendukung format ini. Dalam format HTML dan Teks, lampiran ditampilkan di kop pesan. Format HTML memungkinkan Anda mengubah ukuran dan warna fon. Kebanyakan perangkat lunak email dapat membuat pesan HTML. Format teks adalah bentuk yang paling sederhana dan tidak memungkinkan Anda mengubah ukuran dan warna fon. Di sisi lain, semua perangkat lunak email dapat mendukung format ini.

Jadi, perbedaannya hanyalah apakah lampiran ditampilkan di badan atau kop pesan?

Namun, Anda harus tahu bahwa apabila penerima pesan menggunakan perangkat lunak email selain Outlook, pesan kemungkinan tidak dapat dibaca. Ini tidak menjadi masalah selama pengirim maupun penerima pesan menggunakan Outlook.

Oh! Lalu, haruskah saya membuat email menggunakan format HTML?

Apabila Anda yakin bahwa penerima menggunakan Outlook, tidak masalah. Namun, Anda dapat beralih format dengan mudah. Apakah Anda ingin mengirim pesan dalam format HTML agar aman?

Tentu. Ajarkan bagaimana caranya.

Klik tab Format Teks kemudian klik HTML di Format. Anda juga dapat mengubah format pesan saat sedang menulisnya. Apabila ingin beralih dari HTML ke RTF, Anda dapat melakukannya dengan cara yang sama. Apabila beralih dari HTML ke RTF, berkas akan dilampirkan di bagian bawah pesan. Jadi, Anda harus meletakkan lampiran di bagian mana saja yang Anda sukai, di dalam pesan.

Setelah beralih ke format HTML, lampiran ditampilkan di bagian kop. Terima kasih banyak. Saya akan beralih di antara HTML dan RTF, tergantung kepada siapa saya mengirim pesan.

Symptom

When you try to use a MAK to activate one or more computers, you may receive the following error message:

0xC004B100
The activation server determined that the computer could not be activated.

Cause

This issue may occur if the MAK is unsupported.

Workaround

To troubleshoot this issue, verify that the MAK that is used is the MAK that was provided by Microsoft. To verify that the MAK is valid, contact the Product Activation Call Center.

Solution:

Type slmgr.vbs –upk command to clear all product key that are present on the computer. For example, these may include the Multiple Activation Key (MAK) and the Key Management Service (KMS) key.

After you run the slmgr.vbs –upk command, you may decide to run theslmgr.vbs – dli command or the slmgr.vbs – dlv command to display the Windows Vista licensing information. However, no result is returned in this situation. Additionally, you may receive the following error message when you check the Windows activation information:

This copy of Windows is not activated. Click here to activate Windows now.

Finally, when you restart the computer, you may be prompted to insert a product key. In this situation, Windows Vista may enter reduced functionality mode.

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1

1. In the Start Search box, type command prompt, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
2. In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type a command that resembles the following, and then press ENTER:
   cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk {ProductKey}
   Note If your organization uses a KMS key instead of a MAK key, use the generic KMS key that is provided in the Pid.txt file. This file is located in the \sources folder on the Windows Vista installation DVD.
3. Type a command that resembles the following, and then press ENTER:
   cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato

Method 2

1. Click the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
2. Type the product key, and then follow the instructions to activate the product key.

Method 3

1. Restart the computer.
2. Log on to the computer. The Windows Activation window will appear.
3. Type the product key, and then follow the instructions to activate the product key.

Menampilkan Folder dan File yang TerHidden Virus

 

Apakah anda pernah memasukkan flashdish ke komputer teman atau komputer selain milik anda? Berhati-hatilah, karena bisa saja ada virus yang masuk ke flashdish anda dan akan menyebar pada komputer saat membukanya dirumah.

Virus yang masuk belum tentu secara langsung menyembunyikan folder atau file anda. Karena dia akan membuat file yang berbentuk sama bahkan memberi nama yang sama pada anakan mereka. Tetapi bisa dilihat dengan kasap mata. Saya berikan beberapa trik yang saya tau.. hehe..


Gambar diatas adalah cara kerja virus yang suka menyembunyikan folder dan file anda. Folder asli akan di HIDDEN dan membuat folder maya agar anda mengklik, saat file itu dibuka, otomatis akan menginstal dan menyebarkan pada komputer anda. Ciri-ciri folder yang terjangkit adalah ada simbol shortcut(tanda panah pada pojok kiri bawah), lihat extension file anda, jika ada *.exe pada folder, berarti itu adalah virus karena folder tidak ada jenis file nya.

Jika tidak terlihat jenis file nya, anda dapat membuka nya, berikut langkah-langkah membuka file extention,

1.  Buka My Computerdan klik Tools pada Toolbars kemudian pilih Folder Options... Berikut gambaran nya :

     


2. Kemudian akan muncul tampilan berikut :
   
Ikuti langkah nya, buka tab View kemudian hilangkan centang pada Hide extensions for known file types.
Untuk menampilkan folder yang tersembunyi, pilih Show hidden files and folders dan hilangkan centang pada Hide protected operating system files Lalu klik OK.

Nah, sekarang lihat flashdish anda apakah folder-foldernya berisi extension?? Jika Ya, hati-hati kalau itu adalah virus, lihat juga folder lainnya apakah ada folder dengan nama yang sama? kalau ada, hapus folder yang berisi extensions. Sehingga tersisa folder yang tersembunyi saja.

Untuk menghilangkan atribut hidden pada folder-folder anda, berikut caranya.

Buka Start => Run. Ketik cmd kembudian OK.
Setelah tampil layar hitam, ketik drive flashdish misalkan flashdish saya adalah F, ketik F: kemudian Enter
setelah itu ikuti command berikut untuk menampilkan folder dan file, jika anda masih dalam keadaan membuka jendela flashdish, tutuplah dahulu saat proses ini.

Ketik  : attrib -s -h *.* /s /d
tekan Enter


Proses akan berlangsung agak lama tergantung jumlah file yang ada didalam flashdish anda. Ketika telah muncul F:\> berarti proses telah selesai. Lihat pada flashdis, lihat foldernya apakah sudah kembali normal atau tidak??

Microsoft outlook exited without properly closing your outlook data file

Outlook 2010: How To Fix Error Cannot Start Outlook or Open the Outlook Window

This morning while working on my PC, my Outlook 2010 client crashed and refused to re-open. When restarting Outlook it would continually crash displaying the same error messages repeatedly. Here’s how I fixed it.
First the error messages:
“Microsoft Outlook exited without properly closing your Outlook Data file: FILE.OST. Microsoft Outlook must be restarted. If this error message recurs, contact support for Microsoft Outlook for assistance.”

After clicking OK, the following error message appears:
“Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened.”

Each time Outlook is opened, the same two errors above display and Outlook will not open.
To resolve the issue, navigate to your Windows Taskbar and find the Microsoft LYNC or OCS chat Client.

Right click the Microsoft LYNC or OCS chat client and click Exit

Outlook should now open without any issues.
